Hi neighbors! We’re Daniel Island Paws and Claws — a small, locally owned business providing personalized pet care right here in our community. Our team is made up of six caring, dependable women who truly love what we do and are committed to giving your pets the same love and attention we’d want for our own.
We’re licensed, bonded, and insured, and we’re also certified in pet CPR and First Aid for both cats and dogs through the American Red Cross. We’ve been so honored to receive kind recognition, including Best of South Carolina for 2024 and 2025, Gold in Mt. Pleasant CommunityVotes, and a spot in the Top 10 finalists for Charleston’s Choice 2025.
We offer overnight stays, daily visits, dog & cat drop-ins, and dog walking — all in the comfort of your home, where your pets feel safest.

Communication was quick and clear, which made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. I loved receiving regular updates and pictures of my dog—she looked so happy and well-cared for! Having lived in several cities and worked with many dog sitters over the years, I can confidently say DI Paws & Claws/Salt & Sand Pet Care is among the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Corey and Brian went above and beyond to help make my frenchie feel comfortable and took the best care of him. They regularly send photos and detailed updates, so you feel like you’re there.
They’ve watched him since and even extended extra help with a moments notice when we ran into travel delays. They truly care about your pets, which relieves all of the stress when being away!

I felt very comfortable when we had are meet and greet with Corey, happy with updates and will definitely be using Daniel Island Paws and claws 🐾
