Kathryn is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, a gut health specialist and a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). She holds degrees in both Kinesiology and Nutrition, as well as a Master’s degree in Sports Nutrition from Laval University in Canada. After accumulating at least 2000 hours in Sports Nutrition and passing a national examination, she was able to obtain her Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) certification. She is a Low FODMAP Certified Dietitian by Monash University and a certified Health Coach by ACE Fitness.

She is also an accomplished athlete, having ran track and cross-country at a national level, and now focusing on longer distances. She works extensively with athletes of all levels, helping them achieve optimal performance through personalized approaches. Kathryn is also trained to help endurance athletes who suffer from gastrointestinal symptoms during exercise. Her extensive training and experience in Sports Nutrition along with her personal experience as an endurance athlete allows her to help athletes achieve peak performance.

Kathryn’s first nutrition position was at the MAA sporting club and medical clinic in Montreal where she worked as a Sports Dietitian and Clinical Dietitian. She also worked extensively with sports teams and athletes of all levels, helping them achieve optimal performance through personalized approaches. She was a volunteer Dietitian for the Cancer Research Society, providing nutrition advice to participants doing a sports challenge to raise money for cancer. She managed a weight loss group and led group presentations to various organizations on healthy eating and sports nutrition. Over the years she developed a keen interest for digestive health and has helped hundreds of clients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). She is part of the FODMAP Everyday Success Team of Registered Dietitians.

Kathryn moved to Charleston, SC in 2016. She started working remotely with clients from Canada and Europe through a company called SOSCuisine.com and is currently the director of SOSCuisine’s nutrition team.

Kathryn currently works at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) as an Outpatient Dietitian and owns her private practice, FitWave Nutrition. Kathryn currently provides nutrition counseling services for clients residing in the USA and Canada, in English and French, in person at her office located in Mount Pleasant, SC or via video conference or phone.

  • Body Composition and Metabolic Analysis

    Using top quality Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), Kathryn can accurately measure your body composition including your muscle mass, fat mass, body water and resting metabolic rate (RMR). RMR is essentially how many calories you burn at rest for your body to maintain its vital functions.

  • Gastrointestinal Health

    Do you suffer from gastrointestinal symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, bloating, gas, stomach pain, reflux or an urge to go to the bathroom? Working alongside with your doctor, Kathryn can perform a full nutrition evaluation to identify foods that exacerbate your symptoms and determine the best diet modifications to help you get rid of your digestive issues.

  • Weight Loss

    Kathryn does not use FAD diets or weight loss supplements and does not provide a quick fix. Kathryn will begin by reviewing your medical and weight history. She can also perform a body composition analysis to help you set realistic weight loss goals.
