a week agoCrunch Fitness in West Ashley is an okay gym overall—the equipment is decent and it has what you need for a solid workout. However, there is a recurring issue in the evenings that management needs to address immediately. The staff routinely shuts off the main lights 5 to 10 minutes before the official closing time. There are always still plenty of people actively using the equipment and finishing up their sets when this happens. Cutting the lights while people are running on treadmills or lifting heavy weights is incredibly dangerous. It's a massive liability for the gym, and it would be a real shame if someone got seriously hurt and filed a lawsuit just because the employees are in a rush to leave the second the clock strikes closing time. I understand wanting to leave to get home, but this is a dangerous situation. I hope management speaks to the evening crew about this. It's a safety hazard that is entirely preventable.

a week agoSince I’ve started crunch fitness, it has been a great experience! Friendly staff, cleanliness of the gym, great classes. Let’s not forget the child care that makes it convenient for me with my kids! I recommend!

a week agoOn numerous occasions this location does not open on scheduled time on the weekends, with patrons waiting in the parking lot. The gym is decently setup with equipment for the size of the facility. The bathrooms I'd say are mid with cleanliness. The staff(besides opening) are helpful.

a week agoI only come in to the club on Sunday mornings when they open at 6 AM. Most days the opening worker is late. Usually multiple members in the parking lot waiting to go in. Also the closing crew from the night before always leaves the machines with plates loaded on them etc. it’s a pretty basic gym concept to remove weights from machines for the opening the next day.
